Tuesday – Friday, 3:30 p.m. How cold is liquid nitrogen? What is visible light? Do reptiles lay eggs? Join Discovery Center staff as we explore the amazing world of science through hands-on experiments and demonstrations.


Artist in Residence
Discovery Center has launched an artist in residence program that focuses on sustainable practices in Middle Tennessee. The artist will lead a craft program that includes a small take-away craft every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., for a limited time. More info»











Snack Attack

Mondays – 3:30 p.m. Create easy, healthy snacks with our staff! Participate in the cooking (and eating!) process as you explore healthy cooking from around the world. Recipes and nutritional information available to take home. Appropriate for ages 3 & up.

Mondays & Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Looking for enrichment opportunities for you and your child? Discovery Center’s SPARK – STEAM Play Achieves Real Knowledge – is for children ages 1-6 and their caregivers!

Sibshops are a celebration of the many lifelong contributions made by brothers and sisters of people with special health and developmental needs. Children will engage in fun-filled activities, games, and talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sibling with special needs. For siblings ages 8-13.
