Post Office

Imagination and Creativity at the Post Office
Notice
Is your child pretending to be a mailman from the Tiny Town Post Office? Imaginative play or pretending helps children practice and experiment with social and emotional norms, and builds self-esteem when s/he explores being anyone or anything they want to be.
Engage
Join in! Ask your child – can I pretend too? What would you like me to do? (It is OK if they sometimes say “no”)
Explore at Home
Create a box filled with objects (old clothes, telephones, blankets, stuffed animals, writing/drawing materials) to spark your preschooler’s imagination as they create their fantasy worlds.
