Last year we received a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services called Building Evaluation to Advance Learning. It will help us build our own institutional evaluation capacity. In addition to focused workshops for the staff and some select partners, we are excited to include area colleagues in a shared learning experience that will help enhance appreciation for evaluation. Our first workshop and professional learning presentation is being scheduled for late January. This session, led by Jessica Luke, Ph.D. Director of the University of Washington’s Museology Graduate Program, Seattle, Washington will provide an overview of learning frameworks – what they are, examples of them, how they are useful, and how they might guide the development of exhibits and programs.
